The automotive world is at a strange crossroads at the moment, given the struggles of the EV market. Leading manufacturers are ditching their expensive EV-only models to focus on hybrid-assisted internal combustion engines in the short and medium term. The situation doesn’t mean the old V8s are coming back, though, as most brands need to find a balance by developing smaller, more efficient four-cylinder powerplants, or at least by including hybrid tech alongside their larger units.
