It seems that when things are tough, Italian automakers resort to military-grade vehicles to gain an extra contract and some volume to bolster sales. It didn’t work for Lamborghini, though, when the sports carmaker produced the LM002 in the mid-1980s. But that didn’t faze Fiat, it seems. When the Italian giant experienced a financial speed bump in the early 2000s, it came up with an oddball 4×4, mimicking the Hummer H2 in every way (and, one could argue, the LM002).
