Volkswagen has made it clear for a while now that it will have an electric GTI of some sort in the near future. We’ve been expecting the first of them to be derived from the upcoming ID.2, but a GTI-badged version of the ID.3 might actually beat it to market. Ahead of both of them, though, is Peugeot. It’s arguably the next-best-known automaker to use the three letters (albeit with one in lower-case) on oodles of Peugeot hatchbacks, most notably the 205 GTi. The French automaker’s newest hot hatch is called the E-208 GTi, and as the name suggests, it only runs on electrons. It also sounds like a lot of fun.
