Some people will tell you that Porsche was a bit late to the party when it comes to electric cars. The Porsche Taycan wasn’t launched until more than a decade after the unveiling of the original Tesla Roadster. Then again, flat-fours and turbos are Porsche’s bread and butter, so it’s not as if the world was crying out for a battery-powered Porsche, but it did seem as if Porsche wasn’t interested in exploring electric power until the writing was already on the wall.
