Yes, sure, the Golf GTI has been around since the early 1980s. Along with a bunch of other hot hatch exotics, like the Peugeot 205 GTi and the Lancia Delta Integrale. They’ve always been there, providing young petrol heads an opportunity to taste good acceleration, decent top speed, and road holding like Pac-Man nipping around corners.
