While most legacy automakers have been around for quite a long time – over a century in some cases – it’s rare to come across one that got its start in recent memory. One such example that came late to the party but quickly established itself as a respected brand is Acura, having been founded in 1986. While its ownership by Honda did, of course, play a large part in allowing Acura to flourish quickly, any newcomer needs to prove theit worth.
