Automotive companies love to play the horsepower game and want to propel you to 60 mph as quickly as possible. In recent years, technology has certainly helped them to create cars that can convert an unbelievable amount of power into traction using the latest tricks. Yet conventional wisdom states that you really need either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive to be able to realistically use a lot of that output and front-wheel drive is rarely in the conversation. It’s cool, then, to take a look back at the Lincoln MKZ, which became one of the most unlikely performance sedans of all time, by pushing more than 350 hp towards the front wheels. More than that, it would even become the most powerful FWD production car on the market.
