The federal government is advising some Nissan Leaf owners to temporarily stop fast-charging their cars, issuing a recall on October 1 regarding the vehicle’s electrical system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says that there could be an overheating risk with the lithium-ion battery, which could cause a fire. It’s the second such recall for the Nissan EV, although this one applies to 2021 and 2022 models, while the first applied to 2019 and 2020 models only.
