It’s hard to overstate the importance of the Chevy small block V8. We’ve called it “the most important V8 ever,” and we still think we were underselling it. If you were driving a Chevy anytime in the 20th Century, there’s a good chance it was running a small block, and if you were driving a C4 Corvette, a 1993 Camaro, or a ’94 Caprice, you might have been packing a 5.7-liter LT1.
