While the quality of these efforts was hit or miss, fans have reason to celebrate as AMC Networks and Heritage Auctions have teamed up to offer more than 1,000 items from The Walking Dead Universe.
This includes “iconic on-screen props, hero costumes, vehicles, weapons, set pieces and prosthetics that defined the series’ post-apocalyptic world.”
Apocalypse On Wheels
There’s a lot of cool stuff up for grabs, but we’ll be focusing on vehicles. The most notable is the 1973 Winnebago Chieftain that Dale Horvath (Jeffrey DeMunn) drove in the series.

Bidding starts at $5,000 and the listing notes it “exhibits heavy wear and age” as well as “soiled carpeting with faux blood.” It’s offered for display purposes only and lacks a title. The auction house also says the “mechanicals are untested and we make no representation of roadworthiness and/or functionality.”
That being said, it’s one of the most iconic vehicles from the series and it made an appearance in the very first episode. The RV eventually gets overrun and abandoned at Hershel’s farm in Season 2, Episode 13.
Daryl’s Two-Wheeled Legacy

While Daryl Dixon was originally an underused character, he eventually emerged as one of the stars. Given this, the auction includes a number of motorcycles used by Norman Reedus.
The earliest is a custom chopper that was used in Seasons 1-4. It’s based on a Triumph Bonneville and features Schutzstaffel lightning bolt decals.
If you’re in the market for something a little less Nazi, there’s a custom motorcycle from Seasons 5-8. It’s based on a Honda CB750 Nighthawk chassis and features modified Yamaha YZF-R6 front and rear ends. It’s the ‘Alexandria bike’ and is one of the more interesting lots.
Sticking with motorcycles, there’s a custom dirt bike from Seasons 10-11. This one is based on a KTR 450 Enduro and was prominently featured in The Walking Dead series finale.
From Muscle Cars To Mayhem

Getting back to cars, there’s a 1971 Pontiac Tempest LeMans with a GTO package. If that has you scratching your head, it makes a brief appearance at the beginning of the first episode. In fact, it was the car used by the criminals who shot Rick Grimes.
Despite the brief appearance, this vehicle has a special bonus as it’s signed by Andrew Lincoln. It also includes a message from him saying “Best Wishes For The Zombie Apocalypse.”
Rounding out the highlights are the MRAP and ‘nuclear car’ from Fear the Walking Dead. The former was used in Seasons 4-8 by Althea Szewczyk-Przygocki (Maggie Grace), while the latter showed up in Season 7. It was driven by Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and is based on a Ford Pinto.
