Ford is continuing to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Bronco. This time, it created two special versions of the Bronco and Bronco Sport, drawing inspiration from the Silver Lake Sand Dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan.
The pair serves as tributes rather than actual models, which means shoppers won’t find them in showrooms anytime soon. Instead, these one-off builds are destined to remain in Ford’s hands.

Both the Bronco and Bronco Sport are painted in the same shade of Azure Gray, nicely matching the tone of the sky and the water at Lake Michigan. Ford has then applied a distinctive orange vinyl livery to mimic the dunes and gently rise to include the blue sky.
Distinctive Details
The custom touches go well beyond paintwork. Both vehicles carry Yakima paddleboard racks and crossbars, while additional light bars enhance their off-road presence.
The Bronco stands on its Heritage wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A KO3 tires, while the Bronco Sport borrows the wheel design from the Mustang Mach-E Rally, finished in black and paired with BFGoodrich XL TRTERTA tires. Painted fenders and new tow hooks complete the package.
How Can Bronco Owners Get These Good Looks?
Bronco owners intrigued by the color and graphics aren’t entirely out of luck. Ford suggests drivers could piece together a similar look using Ford Performance Parts and Accessories, then work with a skilled vinyl installer to recreate the dune-inspired graphics. It’s a little DIY, but the result will capture the same spirit.
Of course, it would be far simpler if Ford just offered these editions outright, since the orange and blue treatment feels tailor-made for the Bronco’s shape.
These aren’t the only special Broncos that Ford has unveiled recently. In late June, it partnered with female fashion brand alice + olivia to create two custom Broncos, known as the Storm Floral Edition and Denim Chevron Edition.
Ford also crashed Jeep’s Easter Safari party in April by releasing two Bronco concepts inspired by Moab, both complete with a stunning matte red protective film.
