Aznom’s latest concept car is the antithesis of quiet luxury. Called L’Epoque, this Italian-built electric limousine is the automotive definition of excess, and it wears that label with pride. Where many modern electric cars chase restraint, this one leans hard into spectacle, recalling the mindset behind the Cadillac Sixteen and the old-school bravado of the Duesenberg Model J. We’ve seen everything from a Batmobile-inspired sports car to talk of ultra electric camper vans and an electric Audi TT replacement. However, the L’Epoque reminds us what concept cars are all about: Extravagant. You might be thinking the L’Epoque is just another fever dream concept car with no chance of seeing the real world, but judging by Aznom’s track record, you might be wrong.
1930s Design Meets The 2020s

Created by Aznom in collaboration with Camal Studio, L’Epoque stretches to more than 26 feet (8 meters) in length. That makes it almost twice as long as a Toyota Prius and around 9 feet (2.74 meters) longer than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Size is the headline here, but the details matter just as much. An upright nose, long hood, and tapering tail clearly reference chauffeur-driven cars from the interwar years, while subtle cues nod toward modern Rolls-Royce lighting elements. Other design highlights include massive wheels, exaggerated arches, and an in-your-face grille purely for aesthetic purposes. Everything about it is polarizing, and that’s exactly the point.

That same philosophy carries over inside. Opening the rear suicide doors lifts part of the roof and opens the tiny front doors too, revealing an interior that we can only describe as a bite-sized Great Gatsby. Instead of a conventional bench, passengers get a sofa, a coffee table, a central cabinet that can be configured to whatever your heart desires, and what looks like a wooden floor. To keep the 1930s theme uninterrupted, screens remain hidden until needed. Materials draw heavily from Italian furniture design, with rich wood, leather, and fabrics taking priority over glossy, scratch-prone surfaces like piano black. Extensive soundproofing keeps the outside world at bay, while an AI assistant manages climate, lighting, and suspension. As you’d expect, this is something you’d want to be chauffeured in.
An Absurd Idea With A Real Chance

Under the dramatic bodywork sits a surprisingly credible powertrain. Four electric motors deliver close to 1,000 hp, backed by a V6 range extender to support longer journeys, meaning the Aznom L’Epoque is technically an EREV. Adaptive suspension keeps the car level even on rough surfaces, ensuring comfort remains intact regardless of scale. For now, L’Epoque remains a one-off vision, but Aznom insists it could be built. The company has spent more than 15 years producing everything from bespoke Smart cars to wild Ram 1500-based creations, so this would not be entirely out of character.
