- A shop in Florida is looking to sell two examples of the exclusive Camaro-based model.
- Powering the Trans Am Super Duty is a 7.4-liter supercharged V8 with over 1,000 hp.
- Both sports cars have a lightweight carbon fiber body panels and a special interior.
The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am disappeared from showrooms decades ago, but its reputation refuses to die. That appeal is what inspired a small American outfit, Trans Am Worldwide, to bring the nameplate back to life after Chevrolet rolled out the fifth-generation Camaro in 2010.
Now, two of their limited-run creations are looking for new homes in Florida.
To bring the Trans Am back to life, the team started with a Camaro as the foundation, reshaping it into something unmistakably different. They reworked the body panels, refreshed the interior, and gave the powertrain a complete overhaul, creating a car that could go toe-to-toe with genuine supercars.
A Limited-Batch Revival
The finished product, known as the Trans Am Super Duty, was limited to just 50 examples. Trans Am Specialties, located in Florida, is now offering two of these rare cars to new buyers.

The first example, car number 12, wears a deep black finish paired with silver wheels. As with every Super Duty, it features redesigned bumpers, updated grilles, and fresh lighting elements front and rear, all styled to channel the spirit of the screaming chicken.

Inside, the cabin continues the bespoke treatment with black and grey leather upholstery, accented by blue piping and embroidered logos on the seat backs and headrests.
Power Beyond Reason
Then there’s the powertrain. Found under the hood is a 7.4-liter supercharged V8 producing over 1,000 hp and 1,046 lb-ft (1,418 Nm) of torque that’s mated to a six-speed manual transmission. That’s more punch than the original 987 hp (1,001 PS) Bugatti Veyron could muster, and still beyond what many modern supercars deliver today
Those are insane levels of grunt, particularly when you consider this car was built in 2017, several years before Ford launched its most recent Shelby GT500 which churns out 760 hp and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm).
The Trans Am Super Duty for sale, number 3, comes finished in blue and features removable carbon fiber T-tops, along with the same ferocious 1,000 hp engine. Found in the cabin is a mixture of black and red leather.
Priced for the Faithful
While the price of the black car remains undisclosed, the blue example carries an asking figure of $275,000. That’s undeniably steep for something based on a Camaro, even one with all-carbon fiber panels and a four-figure horsepower count.
Still, this nostalgia trip, served with a helping of supercharged excess, could hold a certain appeal for devoted fans. You can check out the listings at Trans Am Specialties in Florida over here.
