- Only 499 examples of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Final Edition were built.
- This specific car has changed owners several times despite just 932 miles.
- The Final Edition package added $36,363 to the C 63 S’ sticker price.
Of all the Mercedes-Benz C 63 versions built over the past decade, the 2023 Coupe Final Edition might be the one most likely to earn a place among collectors. It represents not just the end of a generation, but the closing note in AMG’s long love affair with the V8 in this model line.
One of these recently changed hands on Bring a Trailer. While it sold for noticeably less than its original sticker price, the pace of depreciation appears to be easing, hinting that values could begin to level out, or perhaps even rise, in the coming years.

The real story, though, isn’t just its potential as an investment. Despite being barely two years old and showing only 932 miles (1,499 km) on the odometer, this C63 S has already had three owners and registrations across South Carolina, North Dakota, and Montana.
Back in December 2023, it sold for $129,000 and most recently, it found a new home for $105,000 after being auctioned off on Bring a Trailer.
What Makes It Special?
The C205-generation of C 63 is the last model sold with a V8 engine before AMG made the horrible questionable decision to switch to a hybridized turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder which wasn’t that well received by buyers.
Even without a manual gearbox, often a hallmark of future classics, this car’s status as the final V8-powered C-Class gives it an undeniable significance. Furthermore, Mercedes built just 499 units of the C 63 S Final Edition.

The Final Edition package added $36,363 to the coupe’s base price, an indicator that it was aimed at enthusiasts seeking something distinct.
This particular car was also specified with $2,500 AMG Performance Seats, a $1,250 Multimedia Package, and the $1,750 AMG Aerodynamics Package, bringing the total to $133,063.
Picking future classics is never easy, but we can definitely envision a world where low-mileage C 63 S examples like this are again trading hands for near, or even above, their MSRPs.
As is often the case, there may still be some more depreciation to come, but prices could start to bottom out before slowly creeping back up.
