The Toyota Avalon is as much an American institution as the Camry is, and has served as the Japanese automaker’s full-size sedan since its 1994 launch on the US market. The first of the Toyota Avalon generations endured until 1999, when the second generation was launched as a 2000 model. After six years, a redesign of the Toyota Avalon went on sale, designed in the US for the US, and not sold in Europe or Japan.
