If you listen to Toyota’s departing President and CEO Koji Sato, it’s not exactly rosy. “We won’t survive if things continue as they are,” he said at the Japanese automaker’s annual supplier conference. He had other things to say as well, painting a picture where the company’s future might falter partly due to the things that have made it such a success.
