Volkswagen is one of the most well-known automakers in the world, with a long history of producing best-selling, reliable models that range from large SUVs to compact hatchbacks. While some Volkswagen models, most notably the Golf, have become household names over the years, others have not enjoyed the spotlight in quite the same way. One of these hidden gems is the Bora VR5, the five-cylinder version of the fourth-generation Jetta (known as the Bora outside the US). The VR5 engine was sadly never available in the States (although some early model years are now eligible for import under the 25-year rule).
