
A Voya Investment Management’s subsidiary sold a Sandy Springs office property for $32.9 million.
The buyer was Freestone Real Estate, which is looking to reposition the large parcel at 5780 Powers Ferry Road, located just inside Interstate 285 near Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church and Temple Sinai. The office complex was built in the 1980s.
Voya, which signed a lease through 2027, occupies about 80,000 square feet of the 400,000-plus-square-foot building. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports Voya is committed to maintaining a strong presence in Atlanta and is exploring new office locations.
Will Yowell of CBRE and Jay O’Meara of Newmark led the assignment on behalf of Voya, and Freestone represented itself in the deal.
