The most notable change is the grille that connects the LED headlights, joined by a cleaner design for the bumper intakes. The profile appears to be carried over, but the rear end gains new LED graphics for the taillights and a body-colored finish for the lower portion of the tailgate. Finally, VW could introduce fresh colors and new wheels.
Head of design Andreas Mindt said that their goal with the refresh was to create “clean proportions, confident suraces, and a sharper digital character” for one of VW’s most important electric models.
New Software
A major focus for the ID.3 Neo is the new Innovision infotainment system, which features a new integrated app store for audio/video streaming, gaming, charging, and parking services. In terms of interior design, Volkswagen has also gotten rid of the notorious touch-sensitive controls, returning to tactile buttons on the steering wheel.
Furthermore, a new digital vehicle key option allows owners to access their cars via their smartphone or smartwatch without the need of carrying a physical fob or downloading a dedicated app.
