Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna (Calif.), Pramila Jayapal (Mich) and Greg Casar (Texas), the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, are set to give remarks Wednesday morning in opposition to President Trump’s authorization of U.S. strikes in Iran.
Khanna introduced a war powers resolution last week alongside GOP Rep. Thomas Massie (Ky.) that would direct the Trump administration to halt the use of the U.S. military in Iran unless it receives congressional approval. Many Republicans have pushed back on the resolution, including Speaker Mike Johnson (La.), an avid supporter of the president.
