
Publicly traded Westlake Corp. plans to renovate eight floors at 5444 Westheimer Road to accommodate its new offices. The company plans to do a partial renovation of the 21-story building’s first, fifth and sixth floors, while fully renovating the second, third, fourth, eighth and ninth floors. The cost is expected to be around $20 million.
The build-out is scheduled to begin later this year and is expected to be completed by late 2026.
Westlake has tapped Kirksey Architecture to design the build-out.
Tanglewood Property Group owns and manages 5444 Westheimer. It used to be the Capital One building, but they have since moved out.
On its website, Westlake Corporation says it is a global manufacturer and supplier of materials and innovative products. It provides the building blocks for vital solutions, from packaging and healthcare products to automotive and consumer goods to building and construction products.
