MCB Real Estate has secured leases for two new restaurant tenants at Yard 56, the developer’s mixed-use property comprising 100,000 square feet of retail, multifamily, and medical office space in East Baltimore. The national burger chain Five Guys and The Breakfast Club, an upscale, all-day breakfast and brunch restaurant, will bring Yard 56 to 97% occupancy.
Five Guys will be moving into a 3,003-square-foot space at Yard 56, the restaurant’s 16th location in Baltimore. The Breakfast Club, occupying 5,700 square feet of ground-floor space, is owned by chef Jason Miskiri, who opened another location in downtown Silver Spring in 2022. Both tenants are projected to open in the next 12 months.
“Since 2019, restaurants and bars have been one of the only brick-and-mortar categories to see an increase in their share of retail sales,” says MCB’s Senior Managing Director of Leasing Erik Ylitalo. “This highlights a strong post-pandemic recovery and an increase in consumer spending on experiences.”
