Few would argue that the McLaren P1 GTR is one of the brand’s finest cars since its rebirth with the MP4-12C back in 2011. While the P1 GTR is now a decade old, it remains as spectacular as it was when it was first unveiled as the track-only, limited-run version of the already remarkable P1 hybrid hypercar. Now is your opportunity to buy one and drive it on the street.

When McLaren first unleashed the P1 GTR, it was strictly a track toy, with production limited to only 58 units. But McLaren wasn’t the only player in this game. Enter Lanzante, the company that started the process of converting these track-focused machines into street-legal monsters.
Of those 58 original P1 GTRs, it’s believed that 40 have been given the green light for street use, and now one of those rare, road-ready gems is up for grabs.
The stunning P1 GTR you’re looking at is currently up for sale through F1rst Motors in Dubai. It features a gorgeous orange and black paint scheme, complemented by a handful of dark red carbon fiber parts, including the rear diffuser and the doors. Other important upgrades over a run-of-the-mill P1 include a massive rear wing, a new front fascia with an enlarged splitter and canards, and a revised rear end.

With an asking price of 12.3 million AED, or $3.3 million at current exchange rates, you’d expect a very special cabin, and that’s exactly what the P1 GTR has. It comes with two detachable carbon fiber steering wheels and features several red carbon fiber accents. The seats are also beautifully trimmed in black and red leather.
When it comes to performance, the P1 GTR doesn’t disappoint. Its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain has been bumped up to 986 horsepower, thanks to an additional 83 hp compared to the standard P1. McLaren also shaved off 110 lbs (50 kg) of unnecessary weight, making this already brutal car even faster.
