Bugatti has never been shy about excess. The original incarnation of the company, just like its modern successor, built outrageous cars for people with outrageous amounts of money. But in the brand’s early pre-war years, that philosophy sometimes went a little too far, as was the case with the Type 41, better known as the Royale.
