While most of the attention toward a performance-focused engine goes toward the amount of outright power and torque it produces, the real sign of a truly excellent power plant is how power-efficient it is. It’s all well and good having a huge V12 engine producing 700 horsepower, but given just how large it is, it would be rather embarrassing if it couldn’t reach that sort of figure.
