BMW has had a roadster in its catalog since the late 1980s. Dubbed BMW Z cars, they are a series of roadsters, with the first being the odd-looking BMW Z1. Aside from its unique styling, the party trick of this roadster was that it had doors that dropped into the door sill rather than swung open.
