After a sluggish start, Toyota has been on a roll in the last year or so with revealing new EV models. Following up on the redesigned bZ, it revealed the smaller, sportier C-HR and the more powerful bZ Woodland station wagon. Capping off the reveals was the new Highlander, which would become electric-only for the new generation, leaving the larger Grand Highlander as the sole three-row, car-like SUV option from the Japanese brand. That’s still the plan, but the plan apparently won’t go into effect quite as soon as intended.
