When the Vietnamese VinFast brand debuted its first US market vehicle in 2023, it did not go well. This market is hard to crack for any new automaker, but putting automotive journalists in cars with sketchy build quality, electrical system glitches, and ride quality issues doesn’t help. Since then, VinFast has sold very few vehicles here.
