In the world of performance tuning, there’s no law that says you have to base your work on a hot hatch, simply because that type of vehicle is “ideal”, or because everybody else does the same thing. Sometimes, it’s good to think outside the box for a moment, especially if you want your creation to be a bit of a sleeper and a car that’s perfect for everyday family driving. If you’re inclined to think differently and are looking for a premium car to modify, think about a used Audi S3, which was one of the world’s first hyper hatches (or sedan in the case of the USA), with a near 300-hp output and all-wheel drive. After all, this car has massive tuning potential and huge aftermarket support, while blending European refinement and all-weather traction into one promising package. Why should you give it a second glance?
