The fifth version of the Porsche Macan Electric is here, and as usual when the GTS nameplate is applied, it’s arguably the best in the range for the keen driver. The 2026 Macan GTS arrives with up to 563 hp (in Overboost mode), a limited-slip rear differential for more agile handling, and a lower ride height for the air suspension. As is customary for the moniker, the GTS stands out with black accents and unique styling tweaks, but are these changes enough to convince the buying public that going electric isn’t a compromise? On paper, they may well be, though the pricing proximity to the even more powerful Macan Turbo may be difficult to overlook.
Blistering Acceleration For The First Electric GTS
Porsche
In normal conditions, the Macan GTS generates 509 hp, but activate launch control, and you get all 563 ponies with a massive 704 lb-ft of torque, enabling 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Keep your right foot planted, and the quarter-mile will be done in 12 seconds flat on your way to a limited top speed of 155 mph. But outright speed isn’t all that makes a GTS so thrilling – the Sport Chrono Package is standard and gives the electric crossover the same Track Endurance Mode seen on the Taycan. What this does is cool down the battery to delay potential power reduction, allowing drivers to push harder for longer. Also helping in this endeavor is the standard fitment of the Porsche Traction Management system and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, the latter of which is fitted just behind the rear motor to help achieve a weight distribution of 48:52 front:rear. Porsche Active Suspension Management also appears with GTS-specific calibration of the dampers and roll bars, and for those who take handling particularly seriously, rear-axle steering is available as an option.

Should you wish to use the GTS in a more practical manner, Porsche claims a maximum towing capacity of 5,500 lbs, matching other all-wheel-drive variants in the range (Macan 4, Macan 4S, and Macan Turbo). For the record, RWD models max out at 4,409 lbs. Finally, the electric sound profiles in Sport and Sport Plus are unique to the GTS. When it’s time to take a break and recharge the 100 kWh battery, Porsche claims recharging from 10-80% in as little as 21 minutes on a fast charger, refilling the battery at up to 270 kW.
GTS-Specific Styling Inside And Out Comes At A Cost
Porsche
Porsche’s newest electric crossover gets several gloss black painted accents, including the tinted LED Matric Design headlights and taillights and the areas around the air blades, and ahead of other models being imbued with a new Sport Design Package in the summer of 2026, the Macan GTS debuts the new look with a specific front and rear fascia, along with contrasting inlays, side blades, adaptive rear spoiler lip, and wheel arch extensions in black. The rocker panels also stick out a little more at the rear on the GTS, and the rear diffuser gets a black inlay. 21-inch Macan Design wheels come in Anthracite Gray rather than black as standard, with 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in the same color also available. Speaking of the color palete, three hues are on offer for the Macan EV range: Chalk returns, Carmine Red maintains GTS tradition, and Lugano Blue is a new option for the Macan. In total, 15 standard and optional colors can be selected, and as usual, those who want more individuality can spec roughly 60 additional Paint-to-Sample colors through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

In the cabin, the optional GTS Interior Package allows the seat belts, door panels, GTS seat logos, and upper dashboard to be specced with the same Carmine Red, Slate Gray Neo, and Laguno Blue colors available for the body. Notably, the digital displays in the GTS are specific to the model and now appear in the same color as the exterior body panels. The GTS Interior Package also provides the vehicle with carbon fiber inlays on the steering wheel, door panels, and shifter panel. If you like what you see here, the Macan GTS is now available to order with an MSRP of $103,000 – just $6,500 less than the range-topping Turbo variant. Deliveries are expected to begin in spring 2026.
