The clock has finally run out on the naturally aspirated V8 at Lexus. The brand has been quietly retiring its V8 lineup for years: the GS F never got a successor, and the GX, LX, and LS all moved on to a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 — more powerful on paper, but less soul in reality. In August, Lexus stopped building the last model that used its famous 5.0-liter V8.
