“A Manifesto for the Brand’s Future”
The Paris Motor Show is coming next month. There, Alfa Romeo will unveil a concept car that “embodies its vision for the future and the full creative strength of Stellantis’ premium sports brand,” or so it claims.
Teased with an abstract image, the signature Alfa Rosso paint is on full display, but apart from that, it’s hard to get a definite grasp on what exactly this is. It could be a part of the D pillar, or something; perhaps it is part of the roof structure of the car, or maybe even a side vent, but even other sources are struggling to figure out what part of the car Alfa is teasing.
“The Car Every Alfista has Long Been Waiting For”
With little to go on from the teaser image, we turn to the rest of Alfa’s statement, which brings us to this line: “The car that every Alfista has long been waiting for.” This leads us to question: “Is this what Alfistas are waiting for?”
Another quote from the announcement further cements that Alfa is going to unveil a new sports car concept, with the brand saying that it will be “created for those who still love driving and [are] seeking authentic experiences behind the wheel.” The thing is, you could say pretty much every Alfa drives well, so could this be an Alfa conceptualized to drive better than other Alfas? Better than the Stelvio? Better than the Giulia? Better than the 33 Stradale?
Furthermore, the concept “draws inspiration from Italy, with its sartorial craftsmanship and refined aesthetic sensibility; from Sportiness, as a constant pursuit of dynamism and driving pleasure; and from the color Red, a symbol of performance and passion that has always been part of the brand’s heritage. From these three ingredients comes a masterpiece that is unmistakably Italian and unmistakably Alfa Romeo, looking to the future with ambition and boldness,” the announcement states.

A New Addition
The bigger question is whether this concept will spark another new beginning for the brand, especially a better one in the United States. Alfa experienced growth last year globally, with the Junior, which has been working for the brand so far, so could this new model spark even more support from Alfistas and beyond? Stellantis still laid out the roadmap for Alfa in its future plans with a new C-Segment SUV and a boutique sports car announcement back in May of this year.
Regardless, I’m excited to see what Alfa’s been cooking up, so now all that is left is to wait for October 12, 2026. Attendees of the 2026 Paris Motor Show can get a full view of this concept from October 12 to 18, 2026.
