Arizona Land Consulting revealed plans for a development west of Phoenix that could include a movie production studio, amusement park, hotels, retail and a data center campus. The Phoenix Business Journal reports roughly 900 acres off Interstate 10 and 411th Avenue have been set aside for the development, with costs estimated between $6 billion and $10 billion.
A rendering produced by Gensler depicts both an amusement park and an indoor theme park alongside a host of other uses, such as multifamily residential and a distribution center. This week, Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors approved a request to rezone additional acreage for the mixed-use, entertainment components of the planned development.
Arizona Land Consulting has scooped up thousands of acres in the area over the past few years, with a focus on data center development. The firm now has two separate sites fully entitled for data center uses, with one more to go.
