Apple has long used a verification program for iPhone batteries, allowing you to quickly check if you have a genuine battery in your smartphone. Now, it sounds like Samsung could bring a similar verification system to Galaxy phones.
The Elec reports that Samsung will add a security chip to the batteries in some of its phones. The company will apparently add this chip to batteries inside upcoming mid-range phones, including the Galaxy A series.
