When I was little, advent calendars were part of our holiday tradition. Starting on December 1, my brother and I would open a little door that revealed a small piece of chocolate. I loved opening a door every day in December, with the final one being opened on Christmas Eve.
Even with a college junior and recent college grad, the tradition of advent calendars continues but have branched out from the chocolate ones. I’ve sent my daughter face mask advent calendars and ones for a beauty product a day when she was in college. My son has enjoyed a different coffee for his Keurig on December days before flying home for the holidays.
