The rivalry among BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz has lasted for decades, with each brand having its ups and downs. Right now, BMW is on the up, and the other two are on the down. For the first half of 2025, the brand of the blue-and-white roundel is clobbering the ones with the rings and the three-pointed star, at least in the US. So far, BMW has sold 178,499 cars. In second place is Mercedes-Benz, which sold 142,000 cars. Audi, with 81,951 sales, comes in at a distant third. Mercedes and Audi have more to worry about than simply lagging behind BMW, as they’re both down from last year.
