Since soccer tourists started arriving in the US from countries with World Cup teams, Buc-ee’s has become a social media phenomenon. What used to be a quaint regional novelty has become an international symbol of America’s uniqueness. The stores pack much more into their building footprint than convenience goods and gas pumps. They are typically larger than most supermarkets. Some stores exceed 75,000 square feet.
Buc-ee’s announced plans to open five new locations across the Southeastern United States. Buc-ee’s currently operates 55 locations across 12 states. But by 2031, that number will be even bigger.
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is set to open its location on November 16. Buc-ee’s has also confirmed a location in Monroe County, Georgia and Gallaway, Tennessee, arriving in 2027: The company already has plans stretching several years into the future. In 2028, shoppers can expect new stores in Mebane, North Carolina. The final phase of the current expansion 2029 and 2031 includes Hardeeville, South Carolina (2031)
