Bugatti has dropped a couple of new teasers for something new ahead of the 2025 edition of Monterey Car Week, hinting at a bespoke one-of-one car and the launch of a new division, the latter of which will bear the name Soliatire. As well as a card game someone plays on their own, a solitaire is also an individual gem set on its own in a piece of jewelry. It’s a great name for the “ultra-exclusive program of one-of-one cars” that Bugatti is no doubt going to be selling for astronomical sums of money. It’s also a word Bugatti has used before, most recently for the Chiron Profilee, which was a one-off auctioned off for a good cause. That was teased as “an automotive solitaire that never hit production,” but this time around, Solitaire is capitalized, and the proper noun will be the name of an official division specializing in coachbuilt hypercar delights.
