Porsche has been having a rough time lately trying to make a meaningful profit. But, it has a long-term plan, and managed to increase its profit in the third quarter of this year despite a decline in sales. The US market is of huge importance to Porsche, but despite the expense of importing cars from Germany before the 15 percent tariff imposed on car imports by President Trump last year, Porsche has entirely ruled out building cars here.
