The manual transmission is rapidly becoming an endangered animal. Although beloved by enthusiasts, and still the default choice elsewhere in the world, in the US it is becoming less popular every day. As fewer new drivers in the US learn how to drive a manual vehicle, and automakers pivot towards electrification, the number of models on offer with a manual transmission on board is steadily decreasing.
