Even as EV sales are slowing down, competition between brands remains fierce. Tesla continues to be a popular choice among buyers in America who are willing to enter the world of all-electric vehicle ownership and lifestyles. But challengers to Tesla’s dominance of the EV market, especially abroad, have also increased; new and emerging EV brands, especially those from China, aim to capture their own share of the market segment with more enticing models that are priced competitively against Tesla’s vehicles. The Chinese EV brand, BYD, is just one of the many aiming to rival Tesla, and while their products are currently not available in the North American market, they are already proving to be serious competitors against Tesla in other markets aside from their native China, including South America, Mexico, the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa.
