A major waterfront redevelopment opportunity is being brought to market in downtown Charleston. JLL has been selected by the Dockside Association as exclusive sales representative for Dockside on the Peninsula (Dockside), a 3.31-acre site with nearly 300 feet of Cooper River frontage, a private concrete pier and prime positioning along Charleston’s renowned dining, hospitality, retail and cultural amenities.
The Association is bringing the property to market through Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, after vacating an 18-story condominium tower and 21 townhomes on the site in February 2025 following a city-ordered closure for structural deficiencies.
JLL Capital Markets Hunter Barron, Lee Allen and Brian Connolly are leading the sale on behalf of the Dockside Association.
The property has General Business zoning and established entitlements, providing a buyer with a strong foundation for redevelopment. Previously approved permits for reconstructing a public dock also allow for further activation of the waterfront.
