Comcast Business has completed a project to extend its network in Naperville, delivering high-speed internet, cybersecurity, and technology solutions to Block 59, a 16.5-acre redevelopment with new dining, retail, and entertainment attractions.
“Block 59 has already announced many new businesses who have been eager to call Naperville home,” said Scott Wehrli, Mayor of Naperville. Comcast has invested over $80 billion in the last ten years to grow and evolve its next-generation network nationwide, including $1.4 billion in Illinois alone over the past three years.
The $53 million Block 59 development spearheaded by Brixmor is reimagining the shopping center into an entertainment district with an event plaza. Located just minutes from downtown Naperville, the property will offer approximately 82,500 square feet of dining and entertainment space. The open-air project will include The Cheesecake Factory, Yard House, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Shake Shack, and Stan’s Donuts, alongside additional multi-tenant outparcels.
