Co-Development partners Big Watt Digital and PowerHouse Data Centers received approval from the town of Taylor for a turnkey data center campus project, with the potential to deliver up to one gigawatt of hyperscale data center capacity.
The joint venture proposes developing Taylor Technology Campus on the approximately 664-acre site in Austin’s fast-growing technology corridor. The site offers connectivity and access to major transportation and fiber infrastructure, nearby high-voltage transmission assets, and natural gas resources that can support large-scale, behind-the-meter power generation.
Taylor Technology Campus is planned to utilize dedicated, behind-the-meter power generation, with infrastructure designed to serve the campus directly and provide the reliability and resiliency required for large-scale computing. The project is targeting first power availability in the first half of 2028,.
