Atlanta Housing Partners is pitching a $60 million mixed-use development in St. Cloud that would include affordable housing, retail space and a parking garage to the downtown area.
The Orlando Business Journal reports the mixed-use project would include 150 affordable housing units across two buildings and 17,643 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Half the apartments will be offered to those earning 30% to 80% of the area median income for Osceola County, while the other half will be offered to those earning 120%.
The apartments and commercial space would take a year to complete, and work would begin next year.
Atlantic Housing Partners is seeking a $460,000 grant for the affordable housing portion of the project, as well as a $6.25 million contribution from the city. Atlantic Housing is seeking to lease the land for 99 years, with a transfer to a fee-simple deed to the developer upon completion.
