The Diablo Gets a Second Life
If you grew up with supercars plastered on your bedroom wall, chances are the Lamborghini Diablo was front and center. That wedge-shaped body, the mid-mounted V12, and a presence that screamed ‘look at me’ – it was the stuff of ‘90s dreams. And now, a small outfit from San Marino wants to bring that poster car fantasy back to life, but with a modern twist.
Eccentrica already made a name for itself before with its wild Diablo restomods, but now it’s launching something else. Enter the Eccentrica V12 Roadster: same recipe, just with the roof tossed aside for maximum sun and spectacle.
Just like the coupe, the Roadster begins life as an early Diablo before getting torn down and rebuilt with over 3,500 custom parts. Only 19 will ever exist, and each one is tailored to its future owner’s wildest dreams.

A Familiar Shape With a Different Attitude
You can still spot the classic Diablo shape from a mile away, but Eccentrica has given the Roadster a serious 21st-century makeover. The body is now all carbon fiber, the chassis gets extra carbon bracing, and the wider track means it sits lower and meaner than ever.
Lopping off the roof isn’t exactly easy, so Eccentrica had to rethink the aerodynamics and beef up the structure. The Roadster gets new suspension geometry, semi-active dampers, and hydraulic steering, plus modern Brembo brakes to keep things feeling old-school but sharp.
Inside, it’s a blend of retro cool and modern flair. Connolly leather, Alcantara, anodized bits, and exposed carbon fiber make the cabin feel like a proper driver’s car – not a rolling tech demo. Each Roadster is a one-off, so no two interiors will ever be the same.

Naturally Aspirated V12, Three Pedals
Beneath the carbon skin, you’ll find a reworked 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12, good for 550 horsepower at a screaming 7,000 rpm and 443 lb-ft at 6,500. All that fury goes to the rear wheels through a close-ratio six-speed gated manual – yes, with three pedals. There are three driving modes, so you can dial in just how wild you want your ride.
Eccentrica claims 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph. Even with all the extra bracing, the Roadster tips the scales at 3,395 pounds and keeps a 41/59 weight split – pretty impressive for a topless supercar.
No official price yet, but word is you’ll need at least $1.5 million – before you even find a donor Diablo. This one’s strictly for collectors with deep pockets and big imaginations.
The Eccentrica V12 Roadster will make its public debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on August 14, 2026, during Monterey Car Week.
