People are aching for the next-gen BMW 3 Series to finally break cover. The nameplate will be entering its eighth generation (G50) and bear little resemblance to the outgoing G20, while sharing many visual and technological traits with the i3 electric sedan revealed back in March. But, at the same time, the G50 will be based on an updated version of BMW’s CLAR platform as opposed to the i3’s Neue Klasse architecture.
