The feds are looking for Ford and GM to build more of something that’s a little out of their wheelhouse. A new report says that senior defense officials have reached out to Ford CEO Jim Farley and GM CEO Mary Barra to have talks about them supplying the military with weapons and other supplies, in a step that’s reminiscent of the Arsenal of Freedom of World War II.
