Ford has been very clear all the way to the very top that it has recall and quality problems. The automaker is working on fixing the problems that have led it down that road, and one of those steps is tearing down brand-new engines – a lot of new engines. In fact, Ford is going through about 90 times more engines than it did before, seeking out the smallest issues.
