Proffitt Dixon Partners wrapped up the 345-unit Chamberlain House (shown) earlier this year and is now unveiling its construction timeline for Ferra, a venture featuring 325 apartments, ground-level retail and restaurant space. The Nashville Business Journal reports the company is looking at 2027 to break ground on its latest project, with delivery slated for the following year.
EOA Architects and Axiom Architecture are designing the project at 1000 Second Ave. N.
While the firm’s six-story Chamberlain House development features apartment units wrapped around a central pool area on the first floor, Proffitt Dixon Partners opted for a taller second phase, with Ferra planned to include a rooftop pool and amenity area.
Proffitt Dixon paid $32.53 million for the 5.98-acre Second Avenue property in 2021.
Proffitt Dixon Partners is also looking to sell a portion of its property. The firm engaged Stream Realty to market a 0.8-acre parcel of the site, adjacent to the Jefferson Street Bridge, as a potential hotel development opportunity.
